About

As you may have already guessed, my given name is Reinhart Klein (Jacob to most) and this site represents my achievements in the field of web development and design.  I’ve designed, maintained and successfully sold several sites of my own over the past seven years and along the way I’ve learned a thing or two about establishing a solid presence on the web. My design style is clean, focused and streamlined to maximize efficiency and provide an intuitive end-user experience.  Today, potential customers visit websites for service providers and often make a purchasing decision based largely on that experience.  A professional looking website with excellent search engine placement can mean the difference between a new customer and a missed opportunity.  To successfully capture online leads your website should be a thoughtful presentation of yourself and/or your business.

So if you’d like to start your own website, blog, store or online community, or if you just want to improve your current web presence, I am here to help!  I can you get started with the latest social media campaign techniques, content management solutions and search engine optimization.  And, after we’ve finished building and launching your website, I’ll be there should you need assistance in the future as well.  Contact me if you’re ready to get started!

If I may, a bit about myself…

I spent my first 18 years in the Columbia River basin of Washington State.  In order to escape the confines of this rural existence I embarked early-on in a love affair with technology, especially preferring to explore the outside world through my dial-up internet connection. After attending the Engineering Technology Academy in Kennewick, WA I moved on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University.  As an assignment for one of my computer science courses we were asked to create a simple webpage “about anything”.  I can’t precisely recall where I came up with the initial idea (perhaps I had designs on impressing particular female classmates) but BabyAnimalz was born.  Essentially, this first foray into web design was a ‘wall of cute’ featuring pictures of tiny, adorable animals with a bit of colorful commentary thrown in.  The girls didn’t seem to fall for it but, more fortunately, Time Magazine did notice and featured the site in their 2006 article “100 Cool Web Pages You Need to Know About“.  From there, I started dabbling with more complicated code, forums and content management systems. I was hooked.  Since then I’ve created several web pages for my own projects and local businesses, many of which have been very successful and are still live today.

I live just north of Seattle, WA with my beautiful wife, Lili.  Aside from web development, I enjoy working in my vegetable garden, playing video games (when the Mrs. isn’t home or asleep!), working out, snapping photos, or reading anything fantasy or political non-fiction.  Most of all, I love spending time with my wife and our friends on a summer camping trip, trying new restaurants, or relaxing at home with a coke zero and some quality HBO programming on HBOGo.
